the last day of school was 6/19 and the very next day we took off for 2 weeks in the poconos (big bass lake). not ideal timing but we did it this way so that my mom and step-dad, who had driven up to for the wedding on ohio on 6/13, could join us for the first week. my dad joined us for part of the 2nd week. it was our gift to them for making it to the big 6-0 this year!
we rented a great house with a stream out back. we did fishing and canoeing and nature walking and swimming..... we had some bizarre, unpredicatable weather, but we made the most of it!
