"march is an undecided soggy mess"

i wrote that line eons ago (another lifetime it seems!) and it is still so true! friday it was 65 and sunny and the girls played outside AFTER dinner, this weekend was rainy and chilly, last night we had a thunder storm with hail! and today it is only 50 and soooooooooo windy.... i will be grateful when april arrives and mother nature begins to make up her mind! happy spring everyone!

i'm going to be an aunt again!!!

alison and kurt are expecting!!! 14 weeks along and due on 9/9/09. they will hopefully find out the sex at the ultrasound on 4/17.... stay tuned!

chloe:

chloe had a cold and asked me how her body fights the germs.... "mommy, is it something that i do like eat healthy and exercise or is it something that is inside my body that does it... like my heart or blood or bones?" (this one is always thinking!) so i said that eating right and exercising help but it is mainly something in her blood and i told her about white blood cells. she then said "oh, i guess the white blood cells are not winning right now."

the top pic is great-grammy, aunt melanie and cousin ciara. the bottom pic is cousin jenna, aunt megan and great-grammy. megan is showing amazing courage and resilence as she fights breast cancer. she has had 4 courses of chemo so far and has 2 more to go.... then radiation after that... you go meegs!!!! love you!

disney 2/2009

in february we went to florida for 10 days... 6 days in disney and 4 in vero beach with family. it was the perfect vacation! everything went smoothly and nobody got sick!! 8-) we stayed at old key west, which is a disney vacation club resort (very nice) and went to all 4 theme parks. grammy and poppy came to orlando to join us for 2 days -- epcot and hollywood studios. then we did magic kingdom and animal kingdom later on in the week... very short lines and great weather! we couldn't have asked for a better time......

nj children's museum -- 1/27/09

on 1/27, tammy and i met at the nj children's museum in paramus... chloe was in school, but amelia had a fabulous time with myles (age 4) and bennett (age 2).

chloe's report card

chloe did really well as well!

* in reading, she falls in the "developing / beginning" stage which is slightly left of center (below average). she has made HUGE strides in this category, tho, so we could not be prouder! she started first grade in september reading 3 or 4 WORDS per page and only 8 page books. she is now reading 3 or 4 PARAGRAPHS per page and there is no limit to the number of pages that hold her attention.

* in writing and spelling, she is in the beginning stage so just about average. a major hobby of chloe's is to create books. she gets some paper, folds the stack in half and staples down the fold to create a book. then she starts writing! she always writes "Written by Chloe Barth Illustrated by Chloe Barth" on the cover.... so cute!

* in math, she is actually above average. YES!
